As you may already know, we do a lot of fundraising for our local Children’s Hospice Claire House. With help from our lovely customers, we’ve managed to raise an outstanding £40,000 for the charity over the past 3 years and we couldn’t be prouder!
This morning our friend and Claire House representative Josh Worral came in for a cup of tea and a catch-up. After he filled us in on the latest challenges and successes amongst the hospice, he somehow managed to convince General Manager Phil Doyle to take the leap (pun intended) and sign up to do a skydive!
The tandem jump is at a whopping 10,000ft and will take place at Tilstock Airfield. The exact date is to be confirmed but will take place sometime over the summer (2020) and ALL donations will be going straight to the charity. Phil admitted he was both excited and slightly apprehensive about the challenge, stating; “This is something I always said I wouldn’t do and on top of that I’ve recently found myself becoming more and more cautious of heights and small planes too, but hey, it’s for a great cause, so if there’s enough money raised I’ll let them push me out”
If you would like to support the cause and donate towards Phil’s skydiving challenge you can do so on the link below; thank you.
Good Luck Phil!
