Things to do in Chester

Attractions Chester. There are plenty of things to do on your Chester holiday or trip, why not take a guided tour around the ancient Roman walls and gardens or spend a day exploring the fantastic shops and cafes?  For those of you interested in history, why not visit the Deva Roman Experience, an award winning attraction where visitors can wander through Roman Streets, explore the archaeological remains and handle ancient relics in the hands-on studio?
Chester racecourse is a short walk from the city centre, and the River Dee and Grosvenor Park are less than 10 minutes stroll from The Coach House Hotel in Chester.  River boats can be hired throughout the Summer months, and you can often catch live music at the riverside bandstand.  Chester Zoo is only a short bus or taxi ride from the city centre, and is a fun day out for all ages.
